Oh, Ms. Taralson. This warm, selfless, and self-effacing creature is someone who has stood by me throughout my photography career, and her support has always stood out. She was actually one of the first people I told that I was going to go into photography professionally. Sitting around her coffee table with a group of very close friends, she told me to reach for the stars.

I couldn't be happier with this shoot. Since we were shooting the in the middle of the day, I wanted to embrace the technicolour juxtaposition between the harsher sunlight, and the cooler qualities that pervade the twists and turns of Victoria's downtown. There is a languid nature to those quieter spots, where the world becomes your softbox.

Just finishing up her degree at the University, shes ready to fly off to europe (again) and take on the world. But before, don't you dare miss her graduating recital. More info over on the facebook event page at
