The first wedding. Ever since I jumped into photography, my first wedding was the number one thing I was focusing on achieving. Its a daunting prospect to dive into someones life during their most intimate day, and to work alongside the people they cherish the most. You throw yourself in day of boundless joy, immense anticipation, calculated precision, and wordless sincerity. When I got up that morning, there wasn't an ounce of tension in me. This is something I'd been preparing for all year.
Amber and Owen chose the most superb location for their wedding: The Muse Winery in Deep Cove was a picturesque retreat hidden away from the noise of the city, and it was a pleasure to shoot among the vines, against the backdrop of the Juan de Fuca Strait. Their family welcomed me into their lives as if I was their own, and I think I had just as much fun getting to know them all as I did shooting them. Their warmth and joy was matched only by the weather, as the wedding took place on the hottest day of the summer!
I had a fantastic time working with this couple, and I wish them the best in the future. Congrats, you two.
